The location is unbeatable for Santiago. It's also convenient for travelers using the Santiago Train Station when leaving. There are plenty of food options around for every taste and budget. Additionally, they have a really nice breakfast option that is worthwhile. An extra note. I arrived earlier than expected on my check-in day, and they allowed me to safely store my backpack. Every interaction with staff was a nice experience.

location is great, close to the busy cathedral area but JUST far enough away to be less frantic. and as a bonus, about a block away from the airport bus stop! AIR CONDITIONER was great and the window opened if you preferred. clean and unusually --two elevators. rooms were not quite ready but we were able to wait in the comfortable lounge area on the first floor for an hour-- which we really appreciaed. helpful staff throughout the two days.

Perfect place for several night stay. Everything is at the walking distance, shops, attractions, A6 bus stop to airport just in front. Hotel provided even the timetable for the bus, very useful. Kind and welcoming staff, spatial rooms have been cleaned everyday. Spotless towels and beddings. Can be starred as 3 star hotel. Did not have breakfast, can not evaluate, but dining room was always full of guests at the mornings. Good value for money. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location close to the entry to the old city. Also we were close to a laundromat, bank, airport bus (150 metres away) and the route we took left from across the square where the hotel is located. Our room was quite spacious and we had house keeping for the three days we were here. This hotel is far better than the 2 stars it currently has.

This hotel is located on a busy street with easy access to anything you might need for your stay. A bus to the airport stops out front and the front desk has the schedule. There is also a parking lot across the street if you come by car. The hotel is close to restaurants, cafes and shops. It is a short walk to the church Santiago de Compostella. We had a room with a view of the church and it was incredible. Breakfast was great- plenty of food options and seating. I would stay here again for sure.

Location is fantastic, the hotel is at the bus stop from the airport, and 5 mins walk to the bus stop going to the airport. It is between a Zara and a Massimo Dutti !!!!! The area is about 5-10 mins walk from the central area in Santiago, but it is nice and quiet and not a party zone! Staff at the hotel are AMAZING!!!! They really go out of their way to help guests.

Staff are all very friendly and very efficient. From reception to the very cheery girl on the 5th floor.. Nothing is to much trouble, luggage storage, is very efficient a taxi can be booked with ease and the airport bus arrives at the door and departure is 100m away. Thanks to all, for a great stay again.

Great location, slightly (5-10 mins walk!) away from centre, great because the centre of Santiago can be noisy at night! The hotel is sandwiched between a Zara and a Massimo Dutti, a shoppers paradise! Room was bright and clean, nice bathroom with good quality 'sachet' toiletries. Beds were comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep. Our friends, who were staying in a different hotel, transferred to Universal for the remainder of our stay. They had experienced a "party" directly under their window, until 6am!! They were also delighted with Hotel Universal.

The shower was great. The view of the Cathedral from our window was very special. 24/7 reception was nice. Bus tour to Finisterre and Muxia stops in front of the hotel. Bus to the airport stops 2 mins walk away. And nice breakfast places nearby. Beds were comfy. Quiet at night. Big size room.

Location and room were great. In particular, the helpfulness of the daytime female reception staff and the staff cleaning and providing the breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Exceptionally clean and comfortable.
